Dubai is a place in the Northeast United Arab Emirates and it boasts of all modern amenities that you can ask of. In fact in the recent past Dubai has become a major hub of businesses and another major thing that has come up in Dubai is the Burj Dubai. There have been great strides in the development of this area and a lot of constructions going to expand Dubai to twice its size and the additions will be the Waterfront as well as the Universe and the several man made deserts.
The population of Dubai is 1.5 million and it is believed to have there fourths of its population as male. In Dubai there is mainly the Arabs who are the natives and then there are the special others like Indian, Americans as well people from all over the word.
The economy of Dubai depends on the oil dollars as is the case with any other special places like Abu Dhabi and in fact the entire Gulf region. As far Dubai Travel is concerned the place is a family oriented place and there are a huge number of hotels for stay. There are a number of amusement parks as well as entertainment centers all over the city.
It is also very safe for women travelers but in general the society is very traditional so travelling alone will be a strict no no. Dubai is also a major shopping hub and that means the it attracts a large number of tourists who only come for shopping here. In fact Dubai is famous for its month long Dubai Shopping festival.
There are main shopping centers in Dubai which are the Al-Ain Shopping Centre and the Al – Ghurair City and it also has the Dubai festival city. All these shopping centers have big shops as well as respected brand name shops like the Marks and Spencer, IKEA and the Mark Jacobs.
The city and the area as a whole is very close to all gulf regions and especially the Jebel Ali free Zone which is the main business centre.
